Between attending our first full week of classes, exploring the city, and eating all kinds of good food, I blinked and my second week living in Florence flew by! It’s definitely taking me some time to adjust to this slower way of life the Italians have, but I’m getting there! Learning something new every day and truly taking in all of this city’s beauty.
Things are about to get extra busy with long weekend travel plans. We’re off to Croatia this coming weekend and several other countries after that. I’m so excited to start getting out there and exploring more of Europe. Stay tuned for all of the fun as I will be vlogging/blogging it all.
That being said, I am going to start uploading my Weekly Wrap Up’s on Mondays so that I can enjoy my full weekends of travel. Not forgetting about you guys, just adapting to this new season of life and finding ways to keep my styledby habits while also being present with each opportunity coming my way! Sunday, August 28
Sundays are really mellow in Florence with not too much open besides restaurants. We decided to venture out for brunch and went to a place called Rooster where they have tons of American food options. Everything looked amazing- I will definitely need to go back and try their huge chicken and waffles. I got a bagel sandwich and it was delicious.

Monday, August 29
Ready for our first full week of class! I had Italian, Fashion Media, and Luxury Market today. It was quite busy and yet I was still able to run to the grocery store and grab a panini at Pino’s in between. Got some styledby work done and grabbed a drink at Beer Spot with the girls afterward. It was too cute and the owners were the sweetest.

Tuesday, August 30
Shooting a few photos and filming two YouTube videos before class today. I had just one class so it was a short and sweet day! You know we had to treat ourselves to some gelato tonight. We’re becoming locals at a spot near our apartment which is so fun!

Wednesday, August 31
Last day of August baby! Off to a day full of classes then stopping for some free gelato provided by Bus2Alps. Yum! Any excuse to get some you know I’ll take. We decided to venture over to a local spot for dinner and enjoyed an amazing three-course meal at Il Pizzaiuolo. I got the most amazing pizza with buffalo mozzarella; it was my first time trying and it was so good.

Thursday, September 1
Had one class this morning then came home and started shooting some styledby content. I had three YouTube videos to film and some sponsored posts to submit! I shot some photos with my tripod and then got ready for a fun night out with friends. We went to Lions club, a super popular study abroad bar right around the corner!

Friday, September 2
Sat in bed and played catch up, editing YouTube videos for a good chunk of the day! In the evening the girls and I got dressed and ready, stopping for a few photos and then heading to dinner. We went to an amazing pizzeria called Fermento 1889. I got the pesto and it was delicious. We got gelato and wandered around Florence taking in all of the live music, intimate conversations, and beauty. It was the first time this place felt like it might just become home!

Saturday, September 3
Lauren and I did a day trip to Tuscany for an authentic wine tour today! We stopped at two different wineries tasting eleven different glasses of wine and enjoying a three-course meal. We learned how wine was made and explored some of Santgelello, a beautiful town. It was such a fun, full day together.
