And just like that my time in good ole Kent, Ohio has come to an end. From leaving friends to packing up, to saying goodbye to the first home I ever built on my own, this week was one big emotional rollercoaster. I truly could not be more grateful for my three years at Kent State—they were everything I hoped for and so much more.
I’m not done just yet… I’ve got one week at home before heading to California to complete my summer internship for a sustainable loungewear company called Bleusalt. In August I’ll head to Florence, Italy with my two best friends/roommates where I’ll spend my final semester of college studying abroad.
I’m nervous, excited, and every other emotion under the sun. More than anything I feel so thankful for the opportunity to chase my dreams and take these chances. Thank God I’ll have all of you along the way. In the meantime, let’s recap one last week in Kent!
With love, McKenz

Shooting some end-of-the-year photos with the roomies this morning. Although we don’t graduate until December we wanted to get some celebratory photos in. They turned out adorable. I went to my last baseball game at Schoony where they had a walk-off win. Then grabbed Ally for a walk + more Dairy Queen. Finishing the night off throwing our last apartment party—red flags themed!

Today was Olivia’s last day in Kent so naturally, we dedicated today to our freshman year selves. We walked back to the dorms where we met freshman year, ate one last omelet in the dining hall, and passed all of our old stomping grounds. It was the perfect way to close out this chapter. Tonight we had one last bar crawl to attend for some sorority friends!

Woke up bright and early this morning, packed up the last of my room, said a few final goodbyes, and got on the road for a long drive home. I cried more tears than I ever thought possible as I said goodbye to this little ole college town that became my first home away from home. I feel so lucky to have something that feels so hard to say goodbye to.
